The Indian Institute of Management started the Common Admission Test (CAT) which is computer based test held in India for selecting students for their business administration program. The selection of student is based on quantitative ability, data interpretation, logical reasoning and verbal ability whereas test is conducted once in year by any one of the IIM institution as per the policy of rotation. It is a post-graduate management program for MBA in various Indian universities whereas its prerequisites Bachelorís degree or equivalent and final year undergraduate students also eligible. The entrance examination of CAT is led by the Indian Institute of Management (IIMs).

Admission Procedure :

1. Marks obtained by student in class 12th standard examination.
2. Admission is based on ranks (marks/grades obtained in the qualifying examination) and availability of seats.
3. Qualify the entrance examination.

Syllabus :

English related verbal Ability: Reading appreciation, verbal thinking, syllogisms, analogies, antonyms, and equivalent words, fill in the spaces, sentence amendment, expressions etc. Mathís related quant ability: Number frameworks, geometry, trigonometry, likelihood, stage blend, polynomial math, mensuration, time and work, midpoints, rates, benefit and misfortune, quadratic and direct comparisons, and so on.
